There is one comment we get all the time when people arrive at our B&B and that is what a hidden treasure it is. Because we are tucked away from the traffic, down a long driveway, you feel like you are on a resort even though you are close to the city. Yes, that is exactly what Lilac Lane B&B is….a peaceful retreat, surrounded by large maples, pines and birch, a pool oasis with large gazebo for relaxing during the summer months and a century stone home with a board and baton addition that fits the style of the house. We are only 7 minutes from Trent University and 5 minutes from down town. It is a great spot to stay while setting your children up for school at Trent University or just getting away from the hustle and bustle of every day living to relax and rejuvenate for a few days.

More About Our Bed & Breakfast

As your hosts, we would like to make your stay a memorable one. If you have any special needs or wants, just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our two common rooms offer ample room for relaxing. These rooms are for guests only so you can feel as if it is your home away from home. The living room offers an extensive library for nights when you just want to curl up with a good book or watch some T.V. (Satellite/DVD) or check emails (wireless internet). It also features a faux fireplace with mantle, sofa, and two leather recliners that you won’t want to get out of. Our second sitting room features a wood burning stove, sofa and 2 chairs. There is also a powder room on the main floor for guest use. You have the use of 2 mini fridges, one in the dining room and one outside by the pool. The coffee/tea bar, located off the dining room, is also available to guests. We have tried our very best to offer what we feel you would want during your stay and make it the best experience possible. We hope we have accomplished that for you.

During the summer months, guests are welcome to use the lap pool and gazebo. The gazebo is a large sheltered area and is a great place to get out of the sun or curl up on the L-shaped sectional and have a nap. On the opposite side of the pool and gazebo is a spectacular raised perennial bed with a backdrop of pine trees which helps to keep this area very private and secluded. Pool towels are also provided.
